Bring out your inner geek at Walt Disney World Florida

When most people hear the words Walt Disney World, their brain immediately conjures up images of little girls dressed as princesses scurrying around the Magic Kingdom with an autograph book in one hand and a churro in the other.  While the theme park giant is best known for family friendly vacations, the four parks that make up Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida can also be an adult’s favorite playground.

Walt Disney World features some of the world’s most cutting edge technologies, and the theme parks are ever growing and evolving.  Epcot, the second of the four theme parks, puts technology as one of its highest priorities and has become known as a techie’s favorite spot.

Innoventions, located in Future World, is comprised of two pavilions and holds many hidden gems where tech lovers can unite and let out their inner geek.  In the east pavilion, you can take part in The Sum of All Thrills.  Using your skills in math, science, and engineering, you can create and then ride your very own thrill ride in a 4D robotic simulator.  Also in the east pavilion, you can explore nanotechnology and go inside a storm at StormStuck to simulate severe weather.

Across the breezeway in Innoventions West, you will be inspired by THINK, an interactive exhibit showcasing the ways computers are working to bring sustainability to the world.  Next, think about your future while you learn about investing at The Great Piggy Bank Adventure.  Finally, finish up your stay at Innoventions with a trip to the Videogame Playground where you can compete among other guests and some of your favorite Disney characters.

Epcot, and Walt Disney World as a whole, does not have to be reserved for families with children, and with some preplanning you can go on a vacation to the “Happiest Place on Earth” while satisfying your inner tech geek all while wearing a pair of shiny new mouse ears.
